Long story short, I GRADUATED!
Uh, just in case, let me introduce myself again for the new readersー I did my four years degree in Japanese University :D (If you are interested in how I got into this uni, you can look here). And alhamdulillah, I finally got my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Electronics Engineering this March 2025.
Honestly, it was just a blink of an eye! 17 years old me would never think of studying abroad, in Japan at that. (Well, now I am a legal 23 years old...) But the God's plan was bigger than mine. I was never an otaku, neither a weeb before, let alone a person who knows much about Japan. It's just that I wanted to learn a new language along the way BUT I never thought that I would need to get her degree in my third language (or we could say forth if you want to consider indonesian too LOL) (It is basically a scam, my friend.)
It is just so funny to think about it again because my high school friends know how much I love studying English, and also English was my all-time fav subject during elementary and high school (real) but despite that, I thought that English was too overrated that I had chosen a country which most of the citizens have low proficiency in that language; Japan. Yes, that's exactly how I ended up in Japan after getting flying colors for my SPM in 2018.
Japan was wonderful, but I would say it's kind of hard to mix in when you're a social anxious person but things do get better every time. It's real, practice makes perfect. I begin to appreciate people's existence better than before. Anyways, here are some pictures from the d-day!
Me wearing Hakama - the traditional clothing of Japanese!
With them Malaysian international students from the same department.
That's all for now. Maybe in the next post I will share some details about graduating from a Japanese University because well, I think it's quite different from Malaysia University system hahaha. So yep, till then!
Floostar.
